One of my favourite places in Estonia is Soomaa National Park in Viljandi County not far away from Viljandi (approximately 25km ).
This place is famous for its great swamps and mighty rivers. There are also five big fens with thick forests and extensive flood plains. In spring time you can experience a huge flood when water from the nearby upplands find its way to the plain due to the rain and melting season.
further information you will find here: http://www.soomaa.com/
some impressions:

That is a great area kaddis, I've been there too. I'll add the recommendation that if you go there in summer, cover yourself in bug spray cause the mosquitoes are ferocious. _________________ "As much as I converse with sages and heroes, they have very little of my love and admiration. I like to go to Palmse Manor. I recommend it as a place to take visitors as well. "The most beautiful manor in Estonia" is how it's marketed. They also have beautiful grounds to walk around and trails in the forest behing the manor that will take you to a great overlook of a little lake back there.
Great place to go in the summer on a nice day. Grab an ice cream cone from the shop across the street and spend the day looking at the exhibits and walking the grounds and trails. Beautiful gardens, large greenhouse with wine grapes and palm trees, oldest cars in Estonia museum, amongst other exhibits. There is also a hotel on the grounds.
Official Site of Palmse Manor @ Virumaa Museums (doesn't do Palmse justice, no good pics or extensive info, just opening info):

Here are some pics I took there this past summer:
